ואחרו [וְאַחֲרָ֛יו] אֶלְעָזָ֥ר בֶּן־דדי [דֹּד֖וֹ] בֶּן־אֲחֹחִ֑י בִּשְׁלֹשָׁ֨ה גברים [הַגִּבֹּרִ֜ים] עִם־דָּוִ֗ד בְּחָֽרְפָ֤ם בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּים נֶאֶסְפוּ־שָׁ֣ם לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּ אִ֥ישׁ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃
און נאָך אים איז געװען אֶלעָזֶר דער זון פֿון דוֹדו דעם זון פֿון אַחוֹחין, פֿון די דרײַ גבורים מיט דָוִדן, װען זײ האָבן זיך אײַנגעשטעלט אַקעגן די פּלִשתּים, װאָס האָבן זיך דאָרטן אײַנגעזאַמלט אױף מלחמה, און די מענער פֿון ישׂראל זײַנען געװען אַװעקגעגאַנגען;

He was with David in Pas-damim when the Philistines were gathered there for war. And there was a field-plot (there) full of barley. (And the people had fled from the Philistines).

And they [(he and his men)] stood in the midst of the plot and they saved it and they smote the Philistines. And the L-rd wrought a great salvation.
